Aside from the benefits above, there are cases where simply no other viable backup power system exists. This is demonstrated in the initial deployments for Telco applications in Dhaka’s old quarter of the city, installations on roof top buildings, which are hard to access and where alternative options, such as diesel generators, are not viable do to community issues (noise), vibration and fuel theft.
